A technology executive with over 20 years in the international business community, Jeff most recently led Cisco’s Country Digitization initiatives as the Managing Director in the Office of the Executive Chairman for Cisco.
As a member of the Microsoft executive team and General Manager for World Wide Government, National Security, and International Organizations, Jeff led a successful organizational re-structuring and market optimization strategy to grow Microsoft’s $8.6 billion business. Prior to Microsoft, Jeff served as the Managing Senior Director of the Global Public Sector for Cisco’s Internet Business Solutions Groups (IBSG). His team gained recognition as a strategic, technological, and market development advisor to many of the world’s leading companies and governments. Jeff currently provides board and advisory leadership for technology companies operating in the IoT, computer vision, advanced data, and AI markets.
Before joining the commercial markets, Jeff held various public sector leadership positions within municipal and federal governments. As a Special Agent with the FBI, Jeff administered a congressionally-funded initiative focused on Latin America. As a Senior Executive Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School, Jeff served as a delegate to the Senior Executives in State and Local Government. He was named a North Carolina Institute of Political Leadership Fellow, a 2012 Eisenhower Fellow, and received the 2013 Douglas Dillon Fellow distinction. Jeff is a former board member for the International Affairs Council (IAC), Council member to the North Carolina Governor’s Innovation Council, North Carolina Governor’s China Advisory Council, and was an appointed member of the United Nations International Police Advisory Council (UN-IPAC).
A six-time speaker at the Public Services Summit at Nobel, Jeff is a regular facilitator, guest speaker, and author. He is an active participant at the Aspen Institute, Business Executives for National Security (BENS), and the Global Initiative for Transnational Organized Crime. A native Californian, Jeff holds B.A. and M.S. degrees.
